Itinerary
Day 1: Cusco Half-Day City Tour (Group Tour)

Your adventure begins with hotel pickup at the scheduled time from accommodations located in Cusco’s Historic Center. Once everyone in the group has arrived, we’ll set off on an unforgettable journey through the heart of the ancient Inca capital, where history, culture, and breathtaking landscapes come together.
Our first stop is Cusco Cathedral, located on the city’s iconic Plaza de Armas. Built on the foundations of the former palace of the Inca Wiracocha, this magnificent colonial cathedral houses more than 300 masterpieces from the renowned Cusco School of Art, making it one of the city’s most important cultural landmarks.
Next, we’ll visit Qorikancha, the legendary Temple of the Sun, whose name in Quechua means “Golden Temple.” Once considered the most sacred temple of the Inca Empire, its walls were originally covered with sheets of gold and silver. Today, visitors can admire the remarkable precision and elegance of Inca stonework that has stood the test of time.
We then leave the city to explore the impressive archaeological site of Sacsayhuamán, famous for its enormous stone walls built from massive boulders weighing over 150 tons. During the Inca period, this ceremonial complex was associated with Illapa, the Inca god of thunder and lightning.
Our journey continues to Q’enqo, an important ceremonial sanctuary dedicated to Pachamama (Mother Earth). Here you’ll discover carved rock formations, underground passages, and a sacred altar believed to have been used by the Incas for religious ceremonies and offerings.
Next, we visit Puka Pukara, meaning “Red Fortress” in Quechua. This archaeological site is believed to have served as a military outpost and strategic checkpoint controlling access to the Cusco Valley.
Our final stop is Tambomachay, a beautiful archaeological complex dedicated to the worship of water. Known for its sophisticated stone fountains and aqueducts, it is believed to have been a ceremonial bathing site used by Inca royalty for ritual purification.
At the end of the tour, we’ll return to Cusco, where you’ll be dropped off either at Plaza de Armas or at your hotel, bringing your unforgettable half-day adventure to a close.
