Classic Sacred Valley of the Incas Full-Day Tour
The Classic Sacred Valley of the Incas Full-Day Tour is one of Peru’s most popular and rewarding travel experiences. This unforgettable journey takes you through some of the most important archaeological sites of the ancient Inca Empire, surrounded by breathtaking Andean landscapes, sacred rivers, agricultural terraces, and a rich cultural heritage that continues to thrive today.
Throughout the tour, you’ll visit the charming towns of Pisac, Ollantaytambo, and Chinchero, each offering its own unique history and traditions. Explore impressive Inca temples, ancient archaeological complexes, and vibrant local communities where centuries-old customs are still part of everyday life.
The Sacred Valley of the Incas was one of the most important agricultural regions of the Inca Empire, renowned for producing the empire’s famous giant white corn. Thanks to its mild climate and fertile lands nourished by the Vilcanota River, the valley remains a symbol of abundance, spirituality, and Andean culture.
This tour perfectly combines history, culture, and spectacular scenery, making it an excellent choice for travelers who want to acclimatize before visiting Machu Picchu or simply enjoy a memorable day exploring the heart of the Inca civilization.
Along the way, you’ll also have time to browse traditional artisan markets, where local craftspeople display colorful handwoven textiles, ceramics, silver jewelry, and other handmade souvenirs. You’ll also enjoy a delicious buffet lunch at a tourist restaurant in the Sacred Valley, featuring a wide variety of authentic Peruvian dishes prepared with fresh regional ingredients.
Unlike the Sacred Valley VIP Tour, which includes five stops with shorter visits at each location, the Classic Sacred Valley Tour focuses on three main destinations, allowing more time to explore each site at a relaxed pace and enjoy a deeper, more immersive cultural experience.
